Job Summary

1. Responsible for providing quality physiotherapy treatment as an effective member of the rehabilitation team.
2. Supports and contributes to the development of the department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physiotherapy treatment to inpatients to support their rehabilitation and recovery goals.
• Participate actively in Patient Care Conferences to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members on patient care plans.
• Supervise therapy assistants and volunteers to ensure effective support in therapy delivery.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with all members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate patient care.
• Stay updated on advances in physiotherapy and contribute to departmental development initiatives.
• Train therapy assistants and caregivers to enhance their skills and knowledge in physiotherapy practices.
• Conduct in-service education sessions for other healthcare providers on physiotherapy-related topics.
• Participate in research projects to support evidence-based practice and innovation in physiotherapy.
• Provide coverage for duties of other physiotherapists within the team to ensure continuity of care.
• Assume responsibilities of the Senior Manager, Inpatient Therapy Services, as assigned.
• Engage in departmental and inter-departmental projects or Quality Control Circles to improve service quality.
• Manage applications for subsidies of walking aids for inpatients to facilitate patient access to necessary equipment.
• Communicate therapy progress and goals effectively to patients and their family members to support engagement and understanding.

• Salary Range: $4000-$6800
