Luxury Private Japanese Barber Shop – Raffles Place

We are looking for a Barber Assistant to join our growing team in Raffles Place.

Candidates with barber, salon, grooming, massage or related service experience are highly welcome.

At the same time, we believe that great service starts with character.

We value attitude, reliability, sincerity, teamwork and willingness to grow just as much as previous experience. If you are new to the industry but have the right attitude and a genuine desire to learn, we are happy to train you from the beginning.

Your main role will focus on shampooing, neck & shoulder massage, facial treatments, shaving and grooming services.

This is a hands-on customer service position where you will work directly with customers every day, develop professional skills, and increase your earning potential as your abilities grow.

Basic Salary: SGD 3,000/month + Commission + Multiple Allowances

We are an appointment-only luxury private barber shop located in Raffles Place, in the heart of Singapore's CBD.

Founded by two Directors with extensive barbering and salon management experience in Singapore and Japan, our shop opened in May 2026 and is now expanding its team.

Our goal is not simply to provide haircuts.

We aim to create a private environment where customers can relax, refresh and receive consistently high-quality grooming services.

To achieve this, the role of our Barber Assistants is extremely important.

Shampooing, massage, facial treatments, shaving and grooming are all essential parts of the overall customer experience.

💆 Your Main Role

As a Barber Assistant, shampoo, neck & shoulder massage, facial and grooming treatments will be a major part of your daily work.

You will frequently provide these services directly to customers throughout the day.

This role is particularly suitable for someone who enjoys:

These services are not simply temporary tasks before becoming a Stylist.

✨ What You Will Learn

Depending on your current experience and skill level, training will be adjusted individually.

Core Assistant Skills

If you already have experience in some of these areas, we will assess your current skills and help you progress from there.

If you are completely new to the industry, we will teach you step by step from the fundamentals.

🌱 Your First 2–3 Months

For candidates who are new to these services, the first priority will be developing strong skills in:

Shampoo + Neck & Shoulder Massage + Basic Treatments

Our goal is for you to become confident enough to provide these core services independently to customers.

Estimated progress: approximately 2–3 months

Potential guideline: around 5,000–6,000 points/month

After mastering the fundamentals, you can gradually expand your skills into facial treatments, grooming services, shaving and other barber treatments.

The more services you master, the more opportunities you have to earn points and increase your monthly income.

Training speed and results vary depending on previous experience, practice and individual progress.

Stage 2 – Full Assistant Services

Develop additional skills including:

Candidates with previous salon, barber, massage or grooming experience may progress faster, while beginners may require more time depending on individual development.

💰 Salary & Commission

Basic Salary

SGD 3,000 / month

In addition to your basic salary, you can earn commission + monthly allowances.

This allowance will be added after reaching the required shaving standard evaluated by the Director.

💰 Monthly Income Examples

Example: 6,000 Points

Basic Salary: SGD 3,000

Commission: SGD 120
(2% of 6,000 points)

Attendance + Weekend/PH Allowances: SGD 300

Total: SGD 3,420/month

With Sales Target + Shaving Skill Allowance:

Up to SGD 3,820/month

Example: 10,000 Points

Basic Salary: SGD 3,000

Commission: SGD 800
(8% of 10,000 points)

Attendance + Weekend/PH Allowances: SGD 300

Total: SGD 4,100/month

With Sales Target + Shaving Skill Allowance:

Up to SGD 4,500/month

✂️ Future Career Opportunities

This position is primarily for a Barber Assistant.

Becoming a Stylist is not required.

You can continue developing your expertise in shampooing, massage, shaving, grooming and treatment services and grow professionally as an Assistant.

However, if you later decide that you would like to become a Stylist, we can also support your development in areas such as:

• Men's haircutting
• Hair colouring
• Perming
• Advanced barbering techniques

Your career direction is your choice.

We will listen to your individual goals and support your development accordingly.
