Job Summary

Support legal operations by preparing documents, conducting research, managing deadlines, and coordinating communications to ensure smooth case progression and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and e-file court documents to support case management
• Compile court papers, bundles, authorities, and submissions accurately for legal proceedings
• Manage timelines and deadlines to ensure compliance with court and client requirements
• Handle correspondence by responding to emails, letters, and faxes with stakeholders promptly and professionally
• Monitor and draft legal updates to keep clients and team informed of relevant developments
• Support business development and marketing activities by maintaining client lists and registers
• Assist in planning and executing seminars and updating lawyer profiles and ranking lists to enhance firm visibility
• Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned by management to support firm operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Law or related field
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar legal support role preferred but not mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and IT literacy to efficiently manage documentation and communication
• Strong organizational skills to multitask and meet tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
