Electrical Drafter

Job Summary

Prepare and manage detailed design drawings and documentation using BIM Modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit to support construction projects. Collaborate with project engineers and managers to ensure accurate material estimation and clear communication with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design drawings and documents for preliminary, construction, and as-built stages using BIM Modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit to support project execution
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects based on sketches or notes to ensure accurate construction guidance
• Determine quality, cost, strength, and quantity of required materials and accurately enter figures on materials lists for project budgeting and procurement
• Explain and clarify drawings to production or construction teams and provide necessary adjustments to facilitate smooth project implementation
• Complete and reproduce drawings and documentation packages according to required mediums and specifications using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods
• Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers at all levels by providing technical drafting support to enhance project coordination and delivery
• Continuously update knowledge of drafting technology to maintain technical competency and apply current best practices in design documentation
• Perform additional ad hoc assignments as required to support project and team needs

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the construction industry
• Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM Modeling software to produce accurate and detailed design drawings
• Ability to read and understand engineering documents to ensure compliance with technical requirements
• Knowledgeable in the most recent version of AutoCAD software platforms to maintain up-to-date drafting standards
• Ability to perform independently under minimal supervision to deliver quality work efficiently
