Associate Director/Director, International & Institutional Business

Job Purpose

• Grow LGI’s institutional business through active engagement with existing and prospective clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Design appropriate marketing strategies for Japan market;
• Achieve AUM growth by securing segregated mandates and/or investments into registered LGI funds;
• Market LGI’s full range of services in particular our flagship products and have available updated marketing pitch books at all times;
• Actively seek out new potential clients in the region and in Japan;
• Keep abreast of competitors' product offerings and services in the region and in Japan;
• Be in touch with consultants and clients giving out RFIs and RFPs especially for Asian mandates;
• Build and maintain long lasting and sustainable relationships with a diversified base of institutional clients such as endowments, governments and quasi-government bodies, pensions, insurance companies, charities, large corporates, family offices, investment banks and wealth management platforms etc.;
• Build a successful LGI franchise by working with third party marketing agents;
• Be fully conversant with Lion’s investment processes and to front the portfolio managers in the initial stages of discussion and only when necessary to introduce fund managers before the selection panel of potential clients;
• Keep close contact with portfolio managers and analysts to understand their thought process in managing portfolios and stock analysis;
• Work closely with Regulatory Compliance and Product Solutions Group in producing appropriate marketing materials that adhere to local regulatory requirements, as well as fulfilling regulatory filings as and when required.

Pre-requisites

• University degree;
• Financial services background;
• Minimum 5-8 years of direct experience;
• Good industry knowledge and network;
• Strong knowledge and experience in executing sales and distribution strategies;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Creative thinker with an open mind to learn and explore new areas and opportunities;
• Highly driven individual, independent, adaptable and collaborative in nature.
