Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to support our client's investment operations and financial activities. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders, commercial and merchant banks, and the accounting team.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with merchant banks and investment professionals to source and evaluate investment opportunities
- Participate in weekly investment committee meetings with company’ shareholders to support strategic asset allocation decisions
- Work closely with internal finance and accounts teams to ensure proper booking, accounting, and reconciliation of investment and trade finance transactions
- Conduct due diligence and support documentation for new investments and financial instruments
- Use various tools to generate portfolio risk reports and propose mitigation strategies
- Monitor financial markets and maintain internal dashboards and reports on investment performance and risk metrics
- Consolidate data across multiple investment accounts into a unified portfolio reporting system
- Liaise with commercial banks to support ongoing financial operations and facilitate the expansion of the company's banking relationships
- Assist in preparing investment proposals, board papers, and quarterly performance updates for shareholders
- Setting up liaising with various law firms or corporate service providers to set up with establishment of various structures
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in investment management, corporate finance, or financial services (preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, trade finance, and investment accounting principles
- Passion for investing and a desire to learn and practice long-term investment strategies
- Ability to evaluate investment opportunities across developed (e.g., USA) and emerging markets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Experience working in a multicultural, cross-border team environment
