Job Summary

A CNC Machinist operates, programs, and maintains computer-controlled machinery such as drills, lathes, and presses to manufacture parts. They set up machines, test programming, and troubleshoot operational or programming issues to ensure efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery including drills, lathes, and presses to manufacture precision parts
• Program CNC machines by inputting and testing control codes to ensure accurate machine operation
• Set up CNC machines by installing tools, fixtures, and materials according to production specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming errors or mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production quality
• Maintain CNC equipment through routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
