The Role
As a Senior Marine Electrical Engineer, you will spearhead the top-level technical design of power generation, distribution, and automated control networks, serving as a pillar for the digital and green transformation of the fleet.
What You Will Do
- Lead the generation of electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), short-circuit calculations, harmonic analyses, and electrical load balances.
- Design and check high/low voltage distribution networks, switchboards, and overall shipboard cable routing strategies.
- Integrate Integrated Automation Systems (IAS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), navigation, and communication topologies.
- Act as the technical liaison for shipowners and power propulsion suppliers to resolve critical electrical interface and commissioning conflicts.
What You Need
- Graduate from Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field with 5+ years of marine electrical design experience.
- Expert mastery of electrical calculation software (e.g., ETAP or specialised marine CAD tools) for drawing validation and network analysis.
- Solid comprehension or direct project experience with marine battery storage (BESS) or DC Grid applications is highly valued.
- Strong multi-cultural communication skills in English to balance varying regional project demands.
