Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities:

•⁠ ⁠Plan, coordinate and monitor day-to-day construction project activities to ensure works are carried out according to project schedules and operational requirements.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate and allocate manpower, equipment, vehicles, materials and other resources required for project operations.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor site progress and work schedules, identify delays or operational issues, and coordinate appropriate follow-up actions with the relevant project personnel.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams on daily project requirements.

•⁠ ⁠Attend project coordination meetings, site meetings and progress meetings, and follow up on outstanding project matters.

•⁠ ⁠Supervise and coordinate project personnel and subcontractors to ensure work activities are carried out efficiently and according to project requirements.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain and update project documentation, work records, progress reports, meeting records and other relevant project correspondence.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate the mobilisation and deployment of manpower, equipment and materials to different project locations according to operational requirements.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor the utilisation of project resources and coordinate with management to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

•⁠ ⁠Assist in monitoring subcontractor work progress and preparing supporting documentation for progress works, variation works and other project-related matters.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure site activities comply with company procedures, workplace safety requirements and applicable project/site requirements.

•⁠ ⁠Identify operational risks, manpower shortages, equipment issues and other project constraints and report them to management for appropriate action.

•⁠ ⁠Liaise with the relevant personnel regarding site access, work arrangements, delivery schedules and project logistics.

•⁠ ⁠Provide guidance and coordination to project personnel to support safe, timely and efficient execution of project activities.

•⁠ ⁠Perform other project coordination and construction operational duties as assigned by management according to business and project requirements.

Requirements:

•⁠ ⁠Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction operations, project coordination, site operations or project management.

•⁠ ⁠Relevant construction skills training or certification will be an advantage.

•⁠ ⁠Strong practical knowledge of manpower, equipment, materials and project resource coordination.

•⁠ ⁠Good understanding of construction-site operations and workplace safety requirements.

•⁠ ⁠Strong organisational, planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.

•⁠ ⁠Good leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate project teams and subcontractors.

•⁠ ⁠Good written and verbal communication skills.

•⁠ ⁠Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.

•⁠ ⁠Candidates with substantial relevant practical experience may be considered in place of formal tertiary qualifications.
