RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate Lead Social Worker is responsible for the independent delivery of social services through effective casework management. He/She mentors junior staff and support their professional career development. He/She also leads and evaluates group / community work initiatives and are responsible for establishing strategic partnerships. Overall, the Associate Lead Social Worker plays a vital role in achieving sustainable outcomes for clients, families, and communities and contributes to the leadership and management of the department.

Casework

  • Provide guidance on needs and intake assessments for complex cases
  • Prepare case notes and documents for assigned cases
  • Formulate casework intervention plans
  • Implement case interventions and care plans/ programmes
  • Prepare case reports and necessary documentations
  • Conduct closure of cases upon achieving sustainable service outcomes for clients,
  • families and communities
  • Lead crisis cases with partner organisations and agencies
  • Review models of care and service delivery aligned to evidence-based practice

Casework Supervision

  • Review casework intervention plans, case notes, case reports and the closure of
  • cases for junior colleagues
  • Evaluate progress and casework intervention effectiveness
  • Provide individual staff supervision
  • Conduct group supervision

Group or Community Work

  • Lead environmental scans and community need assessments
  • Lead and strategise the group and/or community work practice based on analysis
  • of environmental scans and community need assessments
  • Establish strategic community partnerships to mobilise community resources
  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness of group work intervention and/or
  • community development initiatives

Employee Development

  • Support employee professional development (i.e. 1:1 career development conversations, performance appraisal)
  • Assist staff with implementing and improving their employee self-care plans (e.g. self-reflections, physical and social activities)

Management & Operations

  • Coordinate the completion of audits with adherence to organisation's audit framework
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution

OTHER INFORMATION

Relevant Experience

  • At least 6-8 years of relevant experience in a Social Service setting
  • Accredited as Registered Social Worker with Singapore Association of Social Workers would be an advantage
