Asia Reconciliation & Investigation Senior Associate (Securities Rec)

Within Asia Operations, the Reconciliations & Investigations Team is responsible for the reconciliation of cash & stock account as well as the management of cash investigation cases relating to in and outgoing cash transfers.

The incumbent will be part of this exciting function and is responsible for:

• The processing and controls of the processes within the Reconciliations & Investigation function

• Ensuring that the services delivered to the Azqore clients are most efficiently and productively performed

Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.

👨‍🔧 Your responsibilities

• Successful applicant will be assigned to function(s) within the Asia Reconciliation & Investigations team. Understanding of the core system, operational / process workflows and control framworks are essential.

• Reconciliation of depot/internal/nostro accounts i.e., Securities and Cash related transactions, ensuring breaks are identified, investigated, escalated, and resolved in line with agreed timelines and risk standards.

• Support and act as a point of contact to clients on cash transfer queries and issues, ensuring all investigations are monitored, followed up on and resolved.

• Proactively manages, resolves discrepancies and high-priority operational issues, relating to the functions he/she is responsible for, with external stakeholders, both locally and abroad to enhance overall client experience

• Build trusted working relationships and work closely with internal stakeholders in various departments across Switzerland and Asia, to resolve issues, improve operational efficiency and contribute to continuous process enhancement initiatives.

• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge transfer across reconciliation and investigation processes

• Participates to Azqore Asia Operations projects, proactively drives and implements process enhancement and improvements, where necessary

🧙‍♂️ Your core competencies

• Bachelor degree, and / or professional qualification in Banking / Finance

At least 7 years of relevant experience in Securities and/or Cash Operations. Experience in Private Banking and/or Securities Reconciliations a plus.

Familiar with financial products including Securities, Cash/FX and its derivatives as well as the market infrastructures, regulations and operational risks related to the trade processing and settlement of these products. Knowledge of the relevant MT1XX, MT2XX and MT5XX message types.

Good knowledge and practice of Office suite. Excel VBA macro knowledge is a plus.

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Mandarin & French proficiencies are a plus
