Job Summary

You will prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and valuations to ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and value.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents to support project bidding and planning
• Conduct cost analysis, monitor budgets, and forecast financial performance for each construction project
• Evaluate variations and claims submitted by subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and fairness
• Assess subcontractor and supplier quotations to support procurement decisions
• Prepare progress valuations and certifications to track project financial status
• Control project costs to ensure delivery of value for money and adherence to financial targets

Required competencies and certifications

• Certificate in Quantity Surveying (Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of quantity surveying experience in the construction industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical skills applied to cost control and budget monitoring
• Effective negotiation skills to manage subcontractor and supplier claims
• Clear communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Punctual and reliable in meeting deadlines and commitments
