STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKER (WORKSHOP) / FABRICATOR

* Read and interpret structural steel drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans.

* Measure, mark, cut, drill, bend, and prepare steel materials.

* Fabricate and assemble beams, columns, frames, brackets, supports, and other steel structures.

* Perform accurate steel fitting and alignment before welding.

* Operate hand tools, power tools, cutting machines, drills, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.

* Carry out tack welding and assist welders with proper fit-up where required.

* Check dimensions, levels, angles, alignment, and tolerances to ensure quality standards are met.

* Use lifting equipment and follow proper material-handling procedures.

* Identify fabrication defects and make necessary adjustments or corrections.

* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work area.

* Follow workplace safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.

* Work effectively with welders, supervisors, engineers, and other team members.
