Job Description
- Analyse and review monthly technology expenditure, identifying trends, variances, and cost drivers.
- Reconcile financial reports against underlying records and investigate discrepancies.
- Validate cost allocation methodologies and ensure charges are accurately attributed to the appropriate business units or cost centres.
- Review supporting documentation including invoices, contracts, purchase orders, and approval records to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Establish and manage a structured monthly cost governance process, including reporting, review meetings, and action tracking.
- Prepare management information reports highlighting cost movements, allocation changes, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with finance, procurement, technology, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and drive corrective actions.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in cost management, financial analysis, FP&A, finance control, or cost governance functions.
- Strong background in reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with cost allocation, chargeback methodologies, and financial governance processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
- High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail when working with large and complex datasets.
- Ability to engage stakeholders effectively and drive actions to completion across multiple teams.
