Key Responsibilities
Software Strategy, Architecture & Governance
· Define and implement software engineering strategies, delivery frameworks, and technical governance processes aligned with organizational standards and industry best practices.
· Provide technical leadership for the project technology stack, including Microsoft SQL Server databases, C# development environments, and cloud-based solutions.
· Establish and maintain robust processes for software design, development, testing, configuration management, and documentation in alignment with recognized software engineering and quality standards.
Software Design, Integration & Validation
· Lead software design activities and ensure clear traceability between business requirements, technical specifications, and system architecture.
· Oversee application integration using modern communication technologies, including REST APIs over HTTP, message-based integration platforms, and enterprise integration solutions.
· Guide the development and enhancement of specialized software solutions, including business rule engines, operational platforms, and automation systems.
· Conduct technical design reviews, architecture assessments, and solution evaluations with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Software Development Management & Delivery
· Manage the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.
· Lead software engineering teams to deliver projects according to agreed scope, timelines, quality objectives, and technical requirements.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, quality assurance, and operations teams, to support successful delivery and continuous improvement.
· Promote effective software development practices, including Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
Quality Assurance, Analytics & Reporting
· Define and promote software quality practices, including unit testing strategies, code review processes, security scanning, and quality metrics.
· Oversee the development of reporting and analytics solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power BI and backend database platforms.
· Manage defect resolution processes, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Ensure software deliverables meet established quality, performance, and reliability standards.
Security, Safety & Compliance
· Implement secure software development practices, including DevSecOps principles and cybersecurity best practices.
· Support security assessments, vulnerability management activities, and risk mitigation planning.
· Ensure software solutions comply with applicable industry standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management
· Serve as the key technical point of contact for software engineering matters.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project leadership to ensure effective communication and successful delivery.
· Provide technical guidance, recommendations, and progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
8 years of relevant experience in software development, software architecture, or engineering management, with demonstrated experience delivering enterprise software solutions.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes and engineering best practices.
Knowledge of software quality, security, and process standards such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 12207, and ISO/IEC 27001.
Experience with C# development and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting platforms.
Experience with cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure services.
Experience with REST API design, integration, and enterprise application connectivity.
Experience with enterprise messaging and integration technologies such as IBM MQ and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) is preferred.
Strong leadership, team management, and collaboration skills.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure software development practices.
