Senior / Principal Product Engineer

Job Description:
· Take ownership of the product lifecycle, from RFQ management incollaboration with Sales & Marketing and Operations to meet customerrequirements.
· Drive timely RFQ closure by tracking and reporting Turnaround Time (TAT)and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to meet targets.
· Lead and ensure the successful execution of Factory Acceptance Tests(FAT), First Lot Production (FLP), and First Article Inspection (FAI), ensuringall customer requirements are fulfilled.
· Oversee the setup and maintenance of the Bill of Materials (BOM) andmanufacturing routing for assigned products, ensuring accuracy, completeness,and timely execution in line with TAT targets.
· Drive product and manufacturing performance improvements through yieldenhancement, scrap reduction, COGS optimization, On-Time Delivery (OTD), andParts Per Million (PPM) improvement.
· Manage product concessions and ensure compliance with internal processesand customer requirements in collaboration with Sales & Marketing andrelevant stakeholders.
· Oversee product-related packaging, raw materials, tooling, jigs, andfixtures to ensure readiness for production and customer requirements.
· Act as the key interface between the company and customers forproduct-related technical and operational matters.
· Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in weekly status reviewsto monitor and drive improvements in FAT, yield, scrap, OTD, and other keyproduct performance metrics.
· Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities throughoutthe product lifecycle to improve product quality, cost, delivery, and overallcustomer satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in optics, opto-mechanical,optoelectronic systems, or related manufacturing environments.
· Strong understanding of optical components, their functions, andapplications.
· Hands-on experience in jig and fixture design.
· Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
· Hands-on experience with optical testing, measurement, and metrologysystems.
· Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles, with theability to apply them to process improvement and operational excellence.
· Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
