Nutanix Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Nutanix clusters (AHV, AOS, Prism) across multiple environments (production, staging, development).
• Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity planning, and ensure high availability.
• Manage storage configurations and ensure data protection and disaster recovery solutions are in place.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within Nutanix HCI and related virtualization infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain automation scripts for system deployment and monitoring.
• Work with vendors and support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years focused on Nutanix HCI.
• Hands-on experience with Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism Central/Element, and Nutanix Files/Objects.
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies (AHV, VMware, Hyper-V).
• Solid knowledge of networking, storage, and data protection concepts.
• Proficient with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prism, Splunk, Zabbix, Nagios).
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, HYCU).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or higher certification.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of security best practices in virtualization and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible or Terraform.
