Job Summary
Conduct on-site inspections and manage electrical system installations through detailed shop drawings, schedule management, material coordination, and collaboration with QAQC teams to ensure project success from design to close-out.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of electrical system installation work to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Develop detailed electrical shop drawings and coordinate drawing submissions for approval
- Guide site workers in construction execution based on approved drawings to maintain quality and accuracy
- Establish and maintain professional construction schedules using project management software such as Microsoft Project or P6
- Prepare Excel-based bar charts and maintain a 3-week rolling schedule for effective project tracking
- Manage system point counts, source materials, conduct price inquiries and negotiations, and handle material submittals
- Inspect and verify quantities, specifications, and receiving of materials upon delivery to ensure accuracy and quality
- Participate in site and company meetings as required and prepare clear, concise meeting minutes
- Support tendering activities including quantity take-offs, procurement inquiries, cost compilation, interview support, and site surveys
- Coordinate with QAQC teams to support inspection and acceptance procedures throughout all project stages
- Oversee project close-out activities by proactively tracking and completing all punch-list items, including outstanding issues from other disciplines
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or a related field (full-time study)
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in electrical or control systems with exposure to full project cycles including design, construction, commissioning, and settlement
- Familiarity with electrical drawing development, construction management, system commissioning, and project settlement
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and standard office software such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and P6
- Strong communication and coordination skills demonstrated through effective collaboration with site teams and stakeholders
- Ability to solve on-site technical issues promptly to minimize project delays
- Willingness to work on project sites and adapt to project-based schedules
