Job Description

We are looking for passionate and committed Bakers / Junior Bakers to join our artisan bakery team specialising in French & European breads and pastries. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in craftsmanship, enjoy hands-on baking, and are eager to grow long-term with the company.

Key Responsibilities

Artisan Baking & Production

• Prepare and bake a wide range of French & European artisan breads, including sourdough

• Execute the full baking process: mixing, kneading, resting, stretching, folding, shaping, proofing, and baking, in accordance with strict artisan standards

• Ensure consistent quality, taste, texture, and presentation of all baked products

• Handle dough fermentation and sourdough cultures with proper care and understanding

Recipe Development & Innovation

• Create new recipes or refine existing ones to meet customer preferences and demand

• Participate actively in Research & Development (R&D), including value-added products using gourmet ingredients such as cheese, ham, herbs, and premium fillings

• Support seasonal menus and special product launches

Quality, Hygiene & Equipment Care

• Uphold high standards of workplace cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety at all times

• Properly operate, maintain, and care for baking equipment and tools

• Comply strictly with SOPs and food safety regulations

Teamwork & Operations Support

• Work closely with section heads and team members to ensure smooth daily operations

• Take on additional baking duties when team members are on leave or attending training

• Contribute ideas to improve productivity, workflow efficiency, and product consistency

• Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional working attitude

Requirements

• 1–5 years or more of relevant experience as a bread & pastry baker (Senior Baker role for more experienced candidates)

• Passion for or prior exposure to French & European artisan bread making

• Good understanding of sourdough techniques and fermentation principles

• Mature, hardworking, humble, and a cordial team player

• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced bakery environment

• Willing to work 5.5 days per week

• Local Singaporeans / SPRs preferred, with a good employment track record
