Regulatory Reporting & Accounting Officer (Banking, MAS)

About the role

This role encompasses regulatory reporting, accounting, taxation, and back office operations within a banking environment. You will prepare regulatory reports, maintain accounting systems, process financial transactions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all MAS and other regulatory reports (including surveys)

• Prepare and monitor daily regulatory compliance summary

• Maintain documentation for reporting processes

• Assist in managing changes arising from new regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation

• Day-to-day accounting including receivables, payables, accruals and prepayments

• Maintenance of accounting system and manual standing data

• Preparation of Financial Statements

• Assist in preparation of GST and tax returns and schedules

• Process treasury transactions (FX, money market, derivatives, bonds)

• Payment & Settlement Operations (e.g., SWIFT, FAST, GIRO, wire transfers)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years working experience, preferably in a wholesale bank

• Tertiary degree, preferably in Banking, finance or accounting

• Good knowledge of MAS regulatory reports (610, 649 etc) and corporate loans

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
