The Role
Graduate/Junior - You will step straight into core 3D modelling and drafting tasks. You will focus on execution, discipline-specific modelling within AVEVA, and producing high-quality construction drawings under guidance.
Structural & Outfitting: Model structural components, equipment, and outfitting items in AVEVA; extract Outfitting General Arrangement drawings, plot plans, and key plans.
Piping: Extract piping layouts, Piping General Arrangements, isometric drawings with Material Take-Off (MTO), line lists, and pipe support drawings.
Electrical & Instrumentation: Perform 3D modelling of electrical equipment, cable trays/ladders, supports, and instrumentation; draft 2D electrical deliverables (lighting layouts, wiring diagrams, MCT layouts).
- Quality & Coordination: Assist with clash detection, data consistency checks, and prepare 2D structural drawings, bending templates, and nesting lists.
Senior - Act as a technical lead and coordination backbone. You will take ownership of multi-discipline design integration, client communications, AVEVA environment administration, and team supervision.
Team Leadership & Administration: Supervise the design team to ensure deliverables meet schedule and quality standards; administer the 3D AVEVA Marine software environment; review and comment on engineering documents.
Client & Stakeholder Management: Lead client meetings, align on project requirements, provide design updates, and maintain clear communication across the project lifecycle.
Multi-Discipline Coordination: Drive cross-discipline coordination, identify and resolve complex interferences in AVEVA, and verify piping/discipline documents against shipyard payment milestones.
Strategic Support: Lead special projects and technical assignments as directed by Management.
What You Need
- Graduate with a Diploma, or a recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, with 5+ years of marine/offshore design experience for a senior role.
- Basic hands-on familiarity with AVEVA Marine software (E3D / PDMS / Marine Drafting) for structural, piping, outfitting, or electrical modelling.
- Understanding of marine drafting standards, drawing extraction, MTOs, and line lists; sharp attention to detail.
- Proficiency in AVEVA Marine administration, multi-discipline design coordination, clash detection workflows, and shipyard milestone checks.
- Proven team supervision capabilities, confident client-facing presentation skills, and strong multi-tasking abilities in fast-paced project environments.
