Shipping Specialist - Your future position?
As Shipping Specialist, you will coordinate and monitor shipments of export orders to ensure that materials/products are transported in compliance with transportation and import/export regulations/requirements and delivered on time to customers.
Reporting to: Assistant Logistics Manager
Working location: 1 Pioneer Turn
Main Responsibilities:
Coordinate and process domestic and international shipments in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures.
Prepare and review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other export documents.
Prepare and verify shipping documents required under Letters of Credit (LC), ensuring compliance with banking terms and conditions to facilitate timely payment.
Work closely with Customer Service, Planning, Warehouse, Production and other internal stakeholders to ensure customer shipping requirements are clearly understood and fulfilled.
Review shipping instructions to ensure compliance with contractual and customer-specific requirements.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, carriers, customs brokers, and logistics partners to arrange shipments and resolve transportation issues.
Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries, and proactively communicate shipment status or delays to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure all export and shipping documentation complies with applicable trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
Oversee the preparation of export shipping documents in SAP (in accordance with regulatory requirements)
Support customs clearance activities by providing accurate documentation and responding to requests from logistics providers or customs authorities.
Resolve shipping discrepancies, documentation issues, and customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shipping efficiency, documentation accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Assist in the development and implementation of written export transportation procedures and filing maintenance
Conduct systematic controls to ensure adherence to local and international transport and customs regulations as well as Company policies and procedures
Perform other logistics and shipping-related duties as assigned.
Main Qualifications:
Diploma in Logistics or relevant field of studies
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in shipping, export logistics, or international trade.
Experience preparing shipping documentation and Letter of Credit (LC) documentation.
Familiarity with Incoterms, international shipping practices, and export/import regulations.
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
Competencies:
Good knowledge of the transportation supplier landscape
Good knowledge of local and international material/product safety, security, norms, and regulations
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and dependencies
Strong knowledge of Incoterms, Dangerous Goods (DG), customs and trade laws, and local transportation compliance requirements
