Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications

  • Designing of graphics for social media and presentations, as well as marketing collaterals
  • Preparing and designing annual report for funding agencies and public
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing and communication plans across various channels (social media, email marketing, website content, press releases, etc.)
  • Managing internal and external digital media presence and communications such as social media accounts, newsletters etc
  • Manage social media accounts and engage with our audience to build brand awareness and foster community engagement e.g. Create engaging content (written, visual, and multimedia) for marketing campaigns and social media platforms.
  • Managing and updating website(s)
  • Plan, create, and curate engaging written, visual, and multimedia content to promote research highlights, partnerships, events, and announcements.
  • Monitor and analyse basic digital performance metrics (e.g. engagement, reach) and recommend improvements to optimise content effectiveness and audience reach.
  • Work closely with Directors and researchers across all of department research programmes and functions to develop and deliver marketing and communications materials that effectively showcase their research, partnerships, and impact.
  • Develop marketing materials (e.g. videos, posters, factsheets, signage) to support events, visits, launches, and outreach activities.
  • Support media relations activities, including coordinating press release distribution, media monitoring, and maintaining a repository of media materials and assets.
  • Proactively identify storytelling opportunities from ongoing research and industry collaborations to strengthen public profile.

Events Organisation

  • Planning programme outline for visits to department with support from the team. This can include general visits but will also have high-level visits from local & overseas government agencies / industry leaders
  • Handling logistics for the visits i.e. end-to-end support for events, including international conferences, launches, and VIP visits.
  • Some programmes will organise pitching, workshop and showcase sessions. The incumbent will manage logistics such events i.e securing venues, managing budgets, coordinating vendors, developing promotional materials, and handling post-event follow-up.
  • Support with event execution: managing on-site logistics, ensuring smooth attendee experience, and assisting with presentations and demonstrations.
  • Support meeting setup for important VIP visit meetings, ensuring all technology and materials are prepared.
  • Work closely with the team to plan and execute major institutional events, including signing ceremonies and flagship conferences.
  • Support post-event activities, including content creation, reporting, documentation, and follow-up communications with stakeholders.


Period:

  • 6 months Contract, subject to extension based on performance


Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5.45pm
  • Friday, 8.30am to 5.15pm

  • West Area


Salary:

  • up to $4500, depending on experience


Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in marketing, communications, event management or a related field with relevant experience, preferably in a corporate, public sector, or research environment.
  • Strong writing and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow.
