Resident Engineer C&S

Job Descriptions:

• Ensure proper coordination of work among various contractors.
• Review and agree on detailed work programs, including time charts and site plans.
• Verify that all necessary drawings and instructions have been provided to contractors and that required authorizations are obtained in accordance with the approved schedule.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain site safety.
• Identify and report faulty workmanship and defective materials
• Verify structural layout, alignment, and levels during construction to ensure adherence to contract drawings.
• Inspect structural elements such as slabs, beams, and columns, ensuring proper reinforcement placement and compliance with design specifications.

Requirements:

• A recognized Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Valid Resident Engineer (RE) Accreditation Certificate from IES.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in supervising building projects. Entry level may apply.
• Strong knowledge of the Building Contract Act and relevant regulations.
• Maintain systematic site records, and fulfill reporting requirements under the Building Control Act.
• Extensive experience in supervising deep basement construction, including top-down construction methods, bored pile systems, precast concrete, and structural steel construction.
• Prior experience in HDB projects is preferred.
