APAC Regional Finance & Accounting, Senior Manager
About this job
Responsible for overseeing regional finance and accounting activities across APAC entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with local statutory requirements, and effective financial planning and analysis. The role partners with country finance teams, regional management and Japan HQ to support business decisions and regional financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
1.) Regional Financial Management
· Oversee accounting and finance operations across APAC subsidiaries / entities
· Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial results
· Ensure timely and accurate regional financial reporting to HQ
· Consolidated financial information from multiple APAC countries
· Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow, working capital and financial performance
2.) Financial Planning and Analysis
· Coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting processes across APAC
· Analyze budget versus actual results and identify significant variances
· Prepare financial analysis, management reports and business forecasts
· Provide financial insights and recommendations to Regional Management
3.) Accounting & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory reporting obligations
· Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
· Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and local authorities where required
· Maintain appropriate accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
4.) Regional Governance & Internal Controls
· Strengthen financial controls and standardize accounting processes across APAC
· Ensure compliance with Group / HQ financial policies
· Identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigating actions
· Support internal and external audits
· Monitor compliance with delegation of authority and approval procedures
5.) Business Partnering
· Work closely with Regional Management, Country Managers and functional heads
· Provide financial advice for business decisions, investments and cost management
· Evaluate business cases and financial implications of proposed projects.
· Support regional process improvement initiatives
· Coordinate with Finance Managers / Country Controllers across APAC
· Work closely with Japan HQ and other global finance stakeholders
· Drive consistency and sharing of best practices across regional entities
Requirement
· Master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration
· Minimum 8 years of experience in regional financial management, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and internal controls in electronics component industry
· Strong business partnering and strategic financial analysis capabilities
· Strong command of English both spoken and written for regional and international business communication
· Business-level or higher Japanese language proficiency to participate in meetings, prepare reports and propose improvement actions with Japan headquarters.
· Strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills
