Job Summary

If you enjoy discovering new designs and products from local and abroad, working with manufacturers and craftsmen to bring quality products to more homes, this position is for you! Join HipVan’s Merchandising team to help us find and develop the best furniture and homewares for our customers! In the process, learn how Merchandising is done for an online store and understand the world of supply chain that helps bring great products to great customers.

Responsibilities

• Source new and unique products globally by analyzing customer preferences and forecasting consumer trends to expand product offerings
• Analyze revenue and margin data on product performance to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with current market trends
• Communicate promptly with external partners and internal Operations team to coordinate incoming shipments and ensure smooth supply chain flow
• Collaborate with the in-house production team to organize and execute product photoshoots that enhance online presentation
• Evaluate supplier options based on price and quality metrics to select the best sourcing partners
• Negotiate supplier agreements to secure favorable terms and optimize cost-efficiency for HipVan
• Monitor product delivery schedules and enforce compliance with purchase contracts to guarantee timely availability

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Demonstrate passion for great design and commitment to building a customer-first brand; ecommerce experience is an advantage
• Use Adobe software including Photoshop and Illustrator to support merchandising and marketing activities
• Apply strong time-management skills to meet deadlines consistently and maintain project schedules
• Employ creative problem-solving abilities to address challenges and improve processes
• Exhibit high organization, motivation, and collaboration skills to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in merchandising or related fields
