Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the full spectrum of financial and management accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial activities.
- Manage the month-end closing process and prepare timely and accurate management reports.
- Prepare annual budgets, revised forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Liaise with banks, external auditors, tax agents, and other relevant parties on accounting and statutory matters.
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable Financial Reporting Standards and handle XBRL submissions.
- Prepare and review GST returns, tax computations, and related statutory filings.
- Perform financial analysis, including review and explanation of significant P&L and Balance Sheet variances.
- Ensure internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures are properly implemented and comply with corporate governance requirements.
- Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Supervise and guide accounting staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Support management on finance-related matters and perform ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline, or a recognised professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably covering full-set accounts, financial reporting, and management accounting.
- Good knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, GST, taxation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and supervise junior accounting staff.
- Prior experience in an audit firm / public accounting firm will be an added advantage.
- This role does not involve in consolidation
- Experience in Accounting system Globe3 or similar system.
