Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting
- Subject matter expert for chiller plants, pumps, cooling towers, air handling systems, automation & controls, and ACMV systems.
- Perform detailed plant and performance analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action planning for underperforming equipment. Analyse and provide solutions.
- Provide rapid solutions to field ational issues during enhancement or fine-tuning activities
- Conduct detailed on-site measurement and verification using industry-standard tools:
- Water-side instrumentation: Ultrasonic flow meters, differential pressure gauges, and temperature sensors
- Air-side instrumentation: Anemometers, temperature and humidity sensors
- Chiller performance measurements: Refrigerant pressure measurement – manometers
- Prepare Functional Design Specification (FDS) for chiller plant and optimisation strategy
- Evaluate and derive solution for air distribution systems for balancing issues, duct leakage, improper damper operations, and thermal comfort inconsistencies
System Design Validation & Optimization
- Review HVAC design documents (schematics, layout plans, control logic) to identify potential performance or constructability issues.
- Recommend modifications for better efficiency, life cycle cost, maintainability, and compatibility.
- Ensure designs support energy code and regulatory compliance
- Ensure designs future scalability and maintainability.
Commissioning & Performance
- Lead commissioning and fine-tuning of chiller plants, AHUs, and ACMV systems to ensure systems meet or exceed target performance.
- Drive energy saving performance at project completion, ensuring systems meet or exceed design COP (kW/RT).
- Establish baseline operating conditions of existing chiller plants and develop recommendations for achieving optimal efficiency with technical justifications
- Proactively anticipate potential performance or integration issues and develop mitigation strategies to ensure seamless implementation without any operational disruption to client facilities.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and contractors for chiller enhancement and performance optimisation work.
- Liaise effectively with clients, providing technical advice, updates, and system improvement proposals.
- Keep internal teams informed on client issues and system updates and upgrades
- Support business development by contributing technical insights during proposal preparation, client meetings, and post-project evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience
Education & Certification
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) or Energy Efficiency Opportunities Assessor (EEO Assessor) will be added advantage.
Technical Skills and Experience
- 1. EngineeringDegree with minimum 7-10 years of strong technical experience in HVAC area
- 2. Experiencedin managing senior level customer in technical presentation and communication
- 3. Strongoperational experience on HVAC
- 4. Strongability to handle difficult operational situations
- 5. SCEMcertified
- 6. Preferablywith EEOA and Green Mark certifications
