Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Design Engineer to support the design and execution of industrial projects. You will be responsible for preparing detailed electrical and instrumentation designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with Singapore standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical

• Design electrical systems in accordance with IEC and Singapore standards.
• Prepare electrical calculations, single-line diagrams (SLD), schematics, layouts, cable sizing, and earthing & grounding designs.
• Develop HT, MV, LV, ELV, and ICA system designs.
• Perform technical bid evaluations and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, and quantity surveying teams throughout project execution.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, Licensed Electrical Workers (LEW), contractors, and relevant authorities.
• Support construction activities through technical guidance, site inspections, FAT, SAT, and site verification.
• Lead outsourced or off-site design teams for larger projects when required.

Instrumentation & Control

• Design instrumentation and control systems in accordance with IEC and Singapore standards.
• Prepare engineering drawings including control system configurations, equipment layouts, instrument datasheets, cable schedules, routing drawings, hook-up drawings, and loop drawings.
• Develop control logic diagrams (OLCS & CLCS) based on process requirements.
• Prepare CCTV and communication system block diagrams and layouts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Min 5 years of design experience in electrical and instrumentation systems (HV, MV, LV, ELV, ICA).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit/BIM, ETAP, and 3D design software is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Singapore electrical standards, codes of practice, and electrical design calculations.
• Familiar with instrumentation components such as valves, flow meters, actuators, and DCS/PLC automation systems.
