About the opportunity

A well-established multinational technology and manufacturing group is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its legal team.

This is a broad in-house opportunity offering exposure to commercial contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property and compliance matters within an international business environment.

The role

You will work closely with senior legal leadership and business stakeholders, providing practical legal support across the organisation. The role would suit a commercially minded lawyer who is comfortable managing matters independently in a lean and fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities

Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including supply, services and confidentiality agreements.

Advise internal stakeholders on contractual, operational and regulatory matters.

Support corporate governance, statutory compliance and corporate secretarial matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Assist with the administration and protection of the group’s intellectual property portfolio.

Support internal reviews, compliance initiatives, policies and training.

Improve legal processes, templates and contract-management practices.

Requirements

3 to 6 years of PQE.

Qualified lawyer from a recognised jurisdiction.

Prior law firm training would be advantageous.

Strong commercial drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.

Practical, organised and able to manage multiple workstreams.

Comfortable working independently and engaging stakeholders across different functions.
