Product Staff Engineer with NPI Experience
Plans, directs, and coordinates product assembly and test processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, test equipment and test software by performing the following duties:
· Responsible for product engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.
· Participating in NPI activities including DFA and DFM, technical review& support with the design team (Flex design center/ Customer).
· Participating on technical review and analysis for new business RFP package to provide FGCM inputs (Cycle Time, Space) and NRE for manufacturing setup (Facilities, Jig, Fixture, Tester).
· Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications, bill of materials, test methods, test software and design changes and responds to their request.
· Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
· Develops, evaluates, and improves both manufacturing and test methods for productivity, better yield and through put.
· Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process and test parameters
· Troubleshoot process & test related issues and resolves the problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
· Develop and maintain product related (both process and test ) documentation
· Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
· Coordinates development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment required to test and record test data.
· Co-ordinate and work on the requirements for equipment and process validations.
· Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
· Provide training to production personnel during new product transfer or product design changes
· Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.
· Participates in cost improvement/reduction programs as part of LEAN
· Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs.
Participate and adhere to Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policy, programs and procedures
