Café Assistant Manager – Ms Durian

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Café Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of Ms Durian. The successful candidate should be service-oriented, organised, and comfortable leading the café team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Café Manager in overseeing daily café operations.

• Supervise, guide and motivate service staff to maintain high service standards.

• Ensure smooth opening, closing and shift handovers.

• Attend to customers and resolve feedback or service issues professionally.

• Monitor food quality, presentation and order accuracy.

• Manage cashiering, payments and daily sales reconciliation.

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or wastage.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.

• Maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of the café.

• Train and onboard new employees.

• Assist with promotions, delivery-platform orders and other operational duties as required.
  

Working Hours

• Regular shift: 12:15 PM to 10:15 PM

• Fridays and Saturdays, Public Holiday's Eves: 1:15 PM to 11:15 PM

• 44-hour work week

• Required to work weekends and public holidays according to the roster.

Requirements

• Previous experience in café, restaurant, retail or hospitality operations is preferred.

• Supervisory or team-lead experience would be an advantage.

• Strong customer-service and communication skills.

• Responsible, dependable and able to handle operational issues independently.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform hands-on duties.

• Comfortable working the stated shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
