Mechanical Engineer

Basic up to $7,500 + AWS + PB

Working Hour: 8:30am - 5:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Location: West

Responsibilities:

• Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover;

• Ensuring sustainability targets are incorporated into the design;

• Producing the tender documentation, including project specifications and contract schedules such as Summary of Tender and Schedule of Rates;

• Progressing the design in accordance with the Design Checklist;

• Liaising with Quality Assurance / Quality Compliance Engineers to ensure they are aligned with the requirements of the specification;

• Ensuring each System Supervisor is provided with the current and applicable shop and space management drawings;

• Ensuring the System Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation

Other Duties:

• To promote safe working practices and to protect the health and well-being of Employees, Sub-contractors and Customers;

• To undertake the assigned work scope in a professional and responsible manner;

• To protect the interests of the company;

• To ensure full awareness of his / her scope of work and the extent of the obligations of M+W;

• The typical technical and commercial scope would include as a minimum; pricing of request for quotations; report writing; design; all stages of tendering through to award; construction; commissioning through to completion; surveys and fact finding; trouble shooting; final account evaluation; etc.;

• Ad hoc duties as determined by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an appropriate field

• Diploma holders with additional 2 - 3 years’ experience unless equated with professional certifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with design experience desired
