Lead Battery Mechanical Design Engineer (MNC)

Our client is a renowned US MNC specialising in manufacturing pet cleaning products, established for more than 100 years with global offices across US and Asia Pacific regions. Their Singapore office is a well-established hub for their operations and regional activities. With a strong culture of innovation and collaboration, they are looking for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team!

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical design and development of lithium-ion battery packs from concept to production.
• Develop battery architecture, module layouts and 3D CAD designs.
• Perform structural and thermal analysis to optimise safety, performance and reliability.
• Drive prototyping, testing, validation and design improvements.
• Evaluate battery technologies, suppliers, costs, risks and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant battery safety and transportation standards.

Requirements:

• At least 8 - 10 years' hands-on experience in battery pack or battery module mechanical design
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks or equivalent
• Experience in engineering simulation and analysis, ANSYS will be a strong advantage
• Educational Qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering or relevant
