AML Systems Strategy, Analysis & Governance
• Act as the AML systems SME, providing advice on AML/CFT regulations, financial crime risks, system controls, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Translate business, operational, regulatory, and AI governance requirements into system enhancements, control improvements, and technology solutions.
• Perform impact assessments, effectiveness reviews, and testing activities to ensure AML systems remain compliant, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with business objectives.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, compliance reviews, and remediation initiatives relating to AML systems and controls.
• Maintain oversight of AML system governance, including model, data, and AI-related risks.
AML Systems Operations & Continuous Improvement
• Serve as the business owner for AML systems, overseeing day-to-day operations, production support, and vendor management.
• Monitor system performance, data quality, alert effectiveness, model outcomes, and service delivery metrics.
• Manage incidents, defects, enhancements, reconciliations, system changes, and associated documentation.
• Drive system optimisation initiatives, tuning exercises, model reviews, and process improvements.
• Ensure operational resilience and compliance with internal governance standards.
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management
• Lead AML-related projects, including regulatory implementations, system enhancements, AI-enabled solutions, and transformation initiatives.
• Manage project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, and governance requirements.
• Coordinate business, compliance, technology, risk, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Facilitate workshops, steering committees, governance forums, training, and communication activities.
• Escalate and communicate key project, compliance, operational, technology, data, and model risks to managements.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience
• 8-12 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance, AML Compliance, Compliance Technology, Risk Management, Data Governance or related financial services functions.
• Proven experience in AML systems business analysis, system implementation, production support, and project delivery.
• Strong understanding of MAS AML/CFT requirements, sanctions screening, customer risk assessment, and transaction monitoring frameworks.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders across Compliance, Technology, Operations, and Business teams.
• Experience working with AML technology vendors and third-party service providers.
• Experience in insurance, banking, or other regulated financial services environments preferred.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled compliance solutions, model governance, data governance, or advanced analytics would be advantageous.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
• CAMS, ICA Advanced Certificate/Diploma, or equivalent AML/FCC certification.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certification.
• Relevant qualifications in AI Governance, Data Governance, Risk Management, or Technology Governance would be advantageous.
Technical Knowledge
• Good understanding of AML systems, including customer risk rating, name screening, transaction monitoring, case management, and regulatory reporting.
• Understanding of system implementation lifecycle, business analysis methodologies, testing, and change management.
• Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, data quality, model risk management, and AI governance principles.
• Experience with AML platforms such as NICE Actimize, LexisNexis, Dow Jones, or equivalent solutions is advantageous.
