Job Responsibilities
• Perform manual testing on crude oil, sour water, wastewater, cooling water and boiler water samples.
• Conduct COD (Hach), TOC, Turbidity, pH and Conductivity tests.
• Perform FIA for Phenol.
• Perform FTIR testing for oil and grease in wastewater.
• Conduct BOD, SOUR and OUR tests.
• Prepare laboratory equipment and reagents prior to testing.
• Report and compile test data into the PSR database.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment after use.
• Handle samples such as Sour Water containing high levels of H₂S and ammonia, which may produce strong odours.
• Manage a small laboratory independently, including chemical and inventory management, purchasing and stock tracking.
• Maintain general laboratory housekeeping and upkeep.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum laboratory internship experience.
• Office hours (Mon- Fri) but may need to work from 10am – 7pm once or twice a week.
• Familiarity with the listed testing methods is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Comfortable handling laboratory samples and performing testing procedures.
• Able to commit to contract Duration of 12 months (renewable.)
