Finance Director

Our client is a leading international banking group with an established presence in Singapore. The Singapore Finance function is seeking a senior Finance professional to support the local Head of Finance across financial control, regulatory reporting, statutory reporting, management reporting and broader Finance initiatives.

This is a senior leadership position with significant exposure to Singapore regulatory requirements, capital markets activities and wholesale banking products. The successful candidate will work closely with senior Finance leadership, business stakeholders, auditors, tax, risk and regulators, while overseeing a team within the Singapore Finance function.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial, management, regulatory and statutory reporting, including P&L and variance analysis.
• Lead and review MAS regulatory reporting, including requirements applicable to a regulated capital markets entity.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements and support tax and transfer pricing requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with MAS, internal audit, external audit, tax advisors and other external stakeholders.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to support business performance and decision making.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of Finance experience within banking or financial services
• CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong experience in MAS regulatory reporting, ideally within a Singapore-regulated banking, securities or capital markets environment.
• Good understanding of Capital Markets / Global Markets products
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
