VP (Legal & Compliance) - Wholesale Banking

Job Description

• Oversee the Singapore Branch’s regulatory compliance and risk management framework in line with MAS and Singapore regulatory requirements.
• Review and update compliance policies, procedures and manuals covering banking, SFA, conduct, privacy and regulatory matters.
• Provide independent compliance advisory to stakeholders on Singapore banking regulations, MAS requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments, monitoring and periodic reviews/audits, identifying gaps and recommending remediation.
• Prepare compliance reports and support the Regulatory Compliance Committee as Secretariat.
• Support New Product Reviews, regulatory submissions and engagement with MAS where required.
• Develop and deliver compliance training and communicate regulatory updates across the Branch.
• Escalate significant compliance issues and work closely with Business, Risk, Legal and Senior Management.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Banking, Accountancy, Business, Law or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant regulatory compliance experience within banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore banking regulations, MAS Notices/Guidelines and SFA requirements.
• Experience in compliance advisory, risk assessments, monitoring/testing and regulatory change management.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with Business, Risk, Legal, Senior Management and regulators.
• Relevant compliance/risk professional qualifications will be an advantage.
