Waste Collection Supervisor

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Waste Collection Supervisor to oversee daily waste collection operations. The successful candidate will supervise collection crews and drivers, monitor routes and schedules, and ensure that collection activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and applicable Singapore regulations.
The role is mainly operational and field based. Candidates should have practical experience in waste collection, logistics, transport, general operations or a similar working environment.
Role Responsibility
- Supervise daily waste collection and field operations.
- Plan and monitor collection routes, schedules, manpower, and vehicle deployment.
- Coordinate with drivers and workers to handle missed collections, delays, and other operational issues.
- Respond to missed collections, operational problems and customer feedback.
- Ensure waste is collected, transported, and disposed of at approved facilities.
- Ensure workers follow company SOPs, safety rules, and NEA requirements.
- Check that workers use the correct PPE and follow safe working practices.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and on-the-job training when required.
- Report accidents, incidents, vehicle problems, equipment faults, and other operational issues.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, collection activities, vehicles, incidents, and work performance.
- Coordinate with customers, disposal facilities, the Operations Team, and other relevant parties.
- Assist with manpower planning and work allocation.
- Prepare basic operational reports and documents.
- Carry out other duties assigned by Management.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent.
- Experience in waste collection, transport, logistics, general operations, or a similar field is preferred.
- Previous experience supervising or coordinating workers is an advantage.
- Good ability to organize daily work and manpower.
- Able to identify and report safety and operational problems.
- Good communication skills when dealing with workers, drivers, customers, and supervisors.
- Able to read and write simple work instructions, reports, and records.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and simple reporting.
- Familiar with workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Able to work independently and solve day-to-day operational problems.
- Willing to work on-site and attend to operational matters when required.
