Automation & Controls Engineer (Factory Automation industry)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of automation and motion control solutions using PLC, Robotics, Vision and Motion technologies.
• Manage automation projects from solution design through commissioning and completion.
• Develop system architecture, review electrical designs and select control system components.
• Optimise PLC, Motion, Vision, Robot, AGV and Servo systems to improve productivity and reliability.
• Analyse equipment performance, troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvements.
• Provide technical leadership, customer consultation and solution presentations.
• Collaborate with Sales, HQ, suppliers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and recommend new automation technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in automation, motion control or machine builder industries.
• Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming, robotics, motion control, servo systems and industrial automation.
• Proven experience managing automation projects from concept to implementation.
• Experience in Semiconductor, Display or Secondary Battery industries is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and regional teams.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and willingness to travel are advantageous.
