We are seeking a motivated Financial Planning & Analysis Intern to support ongoing initiatives that strengthen analytics, and process improvement capabilities.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to finance reporting, planning & analysing including revenue forecast, PL forecast, actual vs budget and last year analysis, and ad hoc projects.
The intern will work closely with team members to help improve operational efficiency and support digital enablement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis, using agentic AI tool to drive in depth analysis.
- Support the preparation of monthly management reports, including profit and loss statements, reporting deck to submit to group as well as presentation deck for respective service line in the firm.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
- Maintain and update databases to support business planning.
- Collaborate with different departments (audit, tax, advisory, operations) to gather and analyze relevant financial data.
- Help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of reporting tools or process improvements.
- Assist in ad hoc analysis and projects as required by management.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or possess equivalent relevant knowledge or skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point and comfortable with data analysis; knowledge of Workday or other visualization tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of data analytical tool or AI tool experience will be preferred.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work under minimal supervision.
