Airport Baggage Handling Assistant

Job Summary

You will handle passenger baggage at Changi Airport, moving luggage from arrival belts and odd-size baggage areas, loading bags onto belts and designated locations, and ensuring each bag matches the correct passenger for their flight.

Responsibilities

• Handle passenger baggage safely and efficiently within airport operational areas
• Move luggage from arrival belts and odd-size baggage areas to designated locations
• Load luggage onto belts and other assigned areas to support flight operations
• Verify that each bag corresponds to the correct passenger traveling on the flight
• Lift and move luggage weighing up to approximately 30–40kg while maintaining safety standards
• Work effectively within an airport operational environment following all safety and security protocols

Required competencies and certifications

• Ability to pass Airport security clearance to obtain Airport Pass

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Comfortable performing manual baggage handling duties

Other Information

• Location: Changi Airport Terminal 2/3
• Estimated Duration: 6 months (Start date: 1 Oct) with 1 day training in Sep (Date TBC)
• Rate: $12 per hour
• Attire: Polo Tee (provided), black/dark blue pants, and safety shoes
• Shift timings: 9am-9pm or 9pm-9am (11-hour shifts with 1 hour unpaid break)
• Work environment: Mainly indoors within airport operational areas
• Safety shoes reimbursement: One-time claim of $40 with receipt
