Job Summary
Responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects covering New Build, Addition & Alteration (A&A), and Reinstatement & Repair (R&R) works, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design
• Analyse and study architectural/structural detail drawings issued by QP for projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering shop drawings for QP’s approval.
• Review and approve contractor submissions and method statements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during both design and construction phases.
Project Delivery
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise site works from mobilization to handover across New Build, A&A, and R&R projects.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, monitor progress against milestones, and implement recovery measures for delays.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth workflow and resource availability.
Technical & Quality
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements; resolve technical and site coordination issues.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, local codes, regulations, and quality standards.
• Enforce quality standards, conduct inspections, and manage rectification of defects.
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations, environmental controls, and authority submissions (BCA, PUB, SCDF, NEA as applicable).
• Support permit applications, inspections, and CONQUAS/QM requirements.
• Work with the WSH team to maintain a safe site and enforce safe work procedures.
Cost & Contract Administration
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and cost estimates.
• Support tendering and procurement processes.
• Assist in cost control, variation orders, progress claims, and subcontractor valuations.
• Liaise with QS on measurement, procurement, and material scheduling.
• Maintain project documentation, RFIs, and contractual correspondence.
Stakeholder Management
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, QPs, authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as key client liaison; attend site and coordination meetings; prepare progress reports and minutes.
Requirements
• Degree / Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 2–5 years' experience in building/construction projects; exposure to New Build, A&A, and R&R works preferred.
• Familiar with Singapore construction standards, BCA regulations, and PSSCOC / relevant contract frameworks.
• Proficient in structural design/analysis software, reading technical drawings, and using MS Project / AutoCAD / MS Office
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Class 3 driving license and willingness to travel between sites is an advantage.
