Laboratory Assistant

Key Responsibilities

· Compound flavour samples according to approved recipes and instructions.

· Assist Flavourists with flavour creation, sample preparation, and sensory evaluations/tastings.

· Prepare and pack flavour samples for applications, Product Management, FTF, QC, and customer requirements.

· Assist Flavourists with relevant SAP activities and sample documentation.

· Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organisation, and good housekeeping standards.

· Clean, manage, and return laboratory glassware and equipment to designated locations.

· Monitor stocks of raw materials, bottles, and laboratory supplies, and coordinate replenishment with MRP, Purchasing, or approved suppliers.

· Assign storage locations for new raw materials and flavours.

· Provide backup support toother Lab Assistants and laboratory support staff when required.

· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Lab Assistant Lead, Flavourist or Technical Director.

Experience

· Diploma holder with 2 years of relevant experience in a food, flavour, chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar industry.

· Fresh graduates with a Diploma/Degree in a relevant field may be considered with relevant internship experience.

Qualifications & Skills

· Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.

· Able to operate laboratory equipment and follow laboratory procedures and safety requirements.

· Basic knowledge of chemical handling and workplace safety.

· Able to understand analytical and sensory evaluation results.

· Good attention to detail and accuracy.

· Basic computer skills; SAP experience is an advantage.
