Patient Service Associate / Clinic Assistant (Locum Part-Time - Woodleigh)

We are seeking a warm, reliable, and child-friendly Patient Service Associate to join our paediatric clinic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for young patients and their parents, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and comfortable clinic experience.

Working Hours & Schedule

Total Commitment: 17 Hours / Week

• Monday, Wednesday, & Friday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (3 hours / day)

• Saturday & Sunday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (4 hours / day)

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Registration & Reception: Welcome families, register new and returning paediatric patients, and manage appointment bookings.

• Front Desk Operations: Handle phone inquiries, assist with patient queue management, and ensure smooth clinic workflow.

• Payment & Cashiering: Process billing, handle cash/cashless payment transactions, and submit basic claim filings.

• Administrative Support: Assist with patient record management, prescription preparation support, and general administrative duties.

• Clinic Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, child-safe, and welcoming front desk and waiting area.

Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, clinic front desk, or medical administration is highly preferred.

• Child-Friendly Attitude: Comfortable interacting with infants, young children, and parents; possesses a warm, patient, and empathetic demeanor.

• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle parent queries clearly and reassuringly.

• Computer Literacy: Proficient in basic computer usage and clinic management or registration systems.

• Reliability: Punctual and committed to working the specified evening and weekend shift schedule.
