Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and competent Technical Officer to oversee and supervise HDB Home Improvement Programme projects. In this role,you will play an important role in ensuring project progress, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting daily site operations.
You will work closely with the Consultant Project Manager to ensure seamless execution of works on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Supervise day-to-day building and construction project activities to ensure works are executed according to specifications and progress schedules.
- Data Administration: Perform basic data entry functions and maintain accurate on-site records, documentation, and progress reports.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on site safety management, ensuring all operations align with regulatory standards.
- Work Flexibility: Commit to a minimum of 44 hours per week, with the flexibility to work overtime on weeknights and Saturdays when project demands require.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess a Diploma in Engineering, Building, Architectural Studies, or a relevant Specialist Diploma by Building and Construction Authority (BCA). For example, Specialist Diploma in Architectural Technology (SDAT).
- OR possess a relevant certification by Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or at least the National Construction Certificate of Supervision (NCCS).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supervising building projects.
- Alternative Entry Route: Candidates without the stated academic qualifications will be considered if they possess a minimum of 5 years of proven working experience in supervising building projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Competency in performing basic data entry and computer functions.
- Strong communication and supervisory skills to manage on-site workers and subcontractors.
Mandatory Training
- Must attend annual safety-related course(s) provided by Ministry of Manpower (MOM) accredited training providers to upkeep competency in safety management.
Working Hours & Compensation Details
- Base Hours: Minimum of 44 hours per week.
- Overtime & Time-Off Policy: * Overtime may be required on weeknights and Saturdays.
- For any overtime worked beyond two (2) hours on weeknights and Saturdays, you are eligible to claim the excess hours as time-off on the next working day.
- Note: Unconsumed time-off not utilized by the next working day will be forfeited. Working hours will be planned and staggered by the Project Manager to ensure project progress remains unaffected.
