Logistics Technical Engineer (Fleet & Asset Automation)

About the Role

We are an established moving services and logistics company looking for a highly skilled Logistics Technical Engineer to oversee our fleet electronics, automated tracking hardware, and specialized industrial moving assets.

This role bridges the gap between field logistics operations and hardware engineering. You will be responsible for ensuring our fleet’s IoT tracking devices, electronic diagnostic tools, and specialized moving machinery maintain optimal functionality with zero downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Electronics & IoT Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuit boards, GPS hardware, and telematics systems installed across our logistics fleet.
• Preventive Asset Maintenance: Conduct routine technical checks and preventive maintenance on specialized moving equipment, hydraulic systems, and electronic diagnostic machinery to extend equipment lifespan.
• Technical Inventory Control: Maintain detailed digital logs of all equipment repairs, hardware maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory tracking.
• Field Support for Specialized Relocations: Deploy to commercial project sites to oversee the safe technical de-installation, handling, and calibration of high-value electronic assets (such as servers, commercial safes, and digital hardware).
• Team Training: Develop troubleshooting guides and conduct technical safety training for junior technicians and field operators.

⚙️ Job Requirements

• Academic Qualification: Minimum Diploma in Electronics Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Field Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in electronic board repair, machinery diagnostic testing, and preventive hardware maintenance.
• Technical Competency: Proven track record in field servicing, hardware-software integration, and operating technical testing equipment under tight operational timelines.
• Work Attributes: Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong attention to safety standards, and the ability to work under high operational pressure in varying field environments.
