The Design & Planning Lab (DPLab) is the multi-disciplinary team in URA that drives URBEX's efforts. In recognition of our work. Our flagship product, ePlanner (a web-based geospatial digital tool that supports users across 40 Singapore agencies) that is currently in its 4th generation, has received multiple global and local awards over the years.
In DPLab, you will work with specialists across data policy, governance, product strategy, software and cloud engineering, urban design technologies, data science, AI/machine learning, and modelling and simulation. You will also collaborate with planners, architects and policymakers to co-create digital solutions that enhance Singapore's liveability, sustainability and resilience.
We are hiring a Full Stack Developer to join our team to design and develop an internal 3D geospatial web platform. The role will primarily involve planning and developing features for this platform, and working closely with stakeholders to design and deliver.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose solutions
- Design, develop and review application code for the 3D geospatial platform within a team environment
- Build and maintain data pipelines that integrate multiple systems across different environments
- Establish DevOps pipelines including testing, scanning, and CICD via Gitlab
- Implement IaC using Terraform for consistent and reproducible deployments
- Ensure applications comply with government security policies and standards
- Document architecture and design decisions
- Integrate applications with authentication systems with secure authentication flows
Required Competencies
- Proficient in working with AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code tools (particularly Terraform), Python, Typescript, and React
- Experience with software engineering and system design for enterprise systems, as well as managing the operations and maintenance of the system
- Experience designing and implementing interfaces and messaging patterns between distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder interaction
- Experience designing or contributing to identity systems
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
