About this job
Reporting to the AVP in Corporate Planning. This role plays a key role in collaborating with Global headquarters in Tokyo, supporting regional management, monitoring business performance, driving strategic planning, coordinating cross-regional initiatives, and managing Regional Executive Committee meeting operations.
Business Performance Management and Analysis
Monitor monthly business and financial performance of operating companies across the Asia region.
Analyze revenue, profitability, cost structure, pricing impact, operating performance, and key business drivers.
Evaluate actual results against budget, forecast, prior year performance, and management targets.
Identify key risks, issues, and opportunities based on quantitative analysis.
Prepare business performance summaries and management reports for senior management.
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term planning processes.
Market and Industry Analysis
Conduct market, industry, customer, competitor, and regulatory analysis relevant to the industrial gases business.
Monitor market trends, growth opportunities, competitive developments, and regional business risks.
Support the identification of potential business opportunities across the Asia region.
Translate market intelligence into business implications and management insights.
Support strategic discussions by providing fact-based analysis and recommendations.
Corporate Planning and Strategy Support
Support the development and execution of regional business strategies and corporate planning initiatives.
Assist in preparing mid-term and long-term business plans for the region.
Support management in evaluating investment opportunities, business development initiatives, and strategic projects.
Contribute to the formulation of regional priorities while respecting the autonomy and business conditions of each operating company.
Coordinate information gathering and analysis across countries and functions.
Executive Reporting and Management Meeting Support
Prepare high-quality presentation materials, reports, and briefing documents for regional management meetings, board meetings, and executive discussions.
Coordinate with operating companies and functional departments to collect accurate and timely information.
Summarize complex business issues clearly and logically for senior management.
Support the preparation of agendas, discussion materials, minutes, and follow-up actions for management meetings.
Regional Project Coordination
Participate in and support cross-regional projects involving multiple operating companies and corporate functions.
Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, stakeholders, and follow-upactions.
Facilitate communication among stakeholders with different business environments, cultures, and priorities.
Support initiatives related to organizational development, business transformation, sustainability, governance, operational improvement, and other regional priorities.
Help identify issues, propose solutions, and ensure steady project progress.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Finance, Human Resource, Legal & Compliance, Internal Audit, Information Technology & Security, Sustainability teams, and other corporate functions to support regional management priorities.
Act as a coordination hub between the Company and global headquarters in Japan, regional operating companies, and functional teams.
Build effective working relationships across countries and departments.
Support alignment among stakeholders while respecting the roles and responsibilities of each function and operating company.
Corporate Governance and Administrative Support
Support the implementation of corporate policies, governance initiatives, and internal control activities.
Assist in coordinating compliance-related matters and information requests.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation required for regional management.
Handle administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
Support ad hoc assignments requested by management.
Others
Experience in business performance analysis, market analysis, or strategic planning a plus.
