DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Description

1. Identify and develop new business opportunities, revenue streams and growth initiatives.

2. Build and maintain partnerships with schools, corporations, community organisations, brands and other potential business partners.

3. Develop school programmes, corporate programmes, workshops, events and collaborative projects.

4. Generate new business leads and manage opportunities from initial contact, proposal and negotiation through to successful closing.

5. Prepare business proposals, quotations, presentations and partnership plans.

6. Research market trends, competitors and potential new customer segments.

7. Identify opportunities for new programmes, products and services based on market demand.

8. Support the development of company events, performances and special projects, including sponsorship and commercial partnerships.

9. Work closely with management, marketing, operations and teaching teams to implement new business initiatives.

10. Support market expansion, new outlet development and other strategic growth projects.

11. Track business development leads, partnerships, project performance, conversion rates and revenue.

12. Work towards agreed business development targets and KPIs.

Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Business Development, Marketing, Management or a related field.

2. Preferably 3–5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account management or a related commercial role.

3. Experience in education, enrichment, performing arts, fitness, lifestyle, events or service industries will be an advantage.

4. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills, as the role requires regular communication with English- and Mandarin-speaking customers, business partners and stakeholders.

5. Strong business development, sales and commercial awareness.

6. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

7. Confident in approaching new clients, organisations and potential business partners.

8. Strong ability to generate leads, follow up on opportunities and close business deals.

9. Able to prepare professional proposals, presentations and business plans.

10. Comfortable working with sales targets, KPIs and performance data.

11. Strong organisational and project management skills.

12. Highly proactive, resourceful, responsible and results-oriented.

13. Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

14. Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on working attitude.

15. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

16. Able to work flexible hours when required for business meetings, projects and events.
